
We are pleased to announce the launch of the international project “BOOSTSCIENCE” under the Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE action “Capacity Building in Higher Education”. The full title of the project is: “BOOSTSCIENCE – Boosting Education Quality and Entrepreneurial Mindsets for Natural Sciences in Ukraine”.
The international BOOSTSCIENCE consortium includes 12 partners from Greece, Spain, and Ukraine, coordinating institution is Hellenic Open University (Patras, Greece).
The project aims to modernize Master’s educational programmes in Biology and Chemistry, to develop an innovative interdisciplinary module using computer simulations (virtual laboratories), and to strengthen cooperation between universities and business in order to enhance competitiveness and entrepreneurial skills of graduates.
During the first organizational online meeting moderated by Dr. Magda Spella from Hellenic Open University, all consortium partners presented their teams and agreed on the strategic implementation plan. Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University was represented by Volodymyr Lushchak, Professor of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology and Project Leader; Assoc. Prof. Tetiana Solodzhuk, Administrative Project Manager; Prof. Halyna Semchyshyn; and Prof. Mariia Bailiak.
This meeting officially marked the start of the project aimed at modernizing the training of Master’s students in natural sciences. We thank the meeting coordinator and all partners for a fruitful beginning of the cooperation. A separate productive working meeting was also held among the Ukrainian partner universities to discuss internal coordination and plan further steps in detail.
